On March 27, 2025, the 2025 Shougang Orientation Soft Magnetic Material User Technology Seminar with the theme of "New Quality Leading Green Start New Journey" was held in Xi'an. At the meeting, two new products, 23SQGD080DCR and 20SQGD070LN, were globally launched, and multiple new technologies and applications were also released. Leaders from Shougang Group and Shougang Zhixin, industry experts, shareholder representatives, user representatives, and members of the production and sales research team attended.
The two oriented soft magnetic material products launched this time are high-end leading products successfully developed by Shougang, guided by new quality productivity, deeply grasping industry development trends, fully satisfying personalized customer needs, and fully leveraging comprehensive technological innovation advantages.
New Quality Leading - The world's first product fills the industry gap. The 23SQGD080DCR product focuses on the problem of transformer DC bias in new scenarios, reducing the impact of DC bias from the material end and improving the stability of transformer operation. This product can increase the excitation current by more than 30%, significantly improving the transformer's ability to withstand DC bias. At the same time, under DC bias conditions, it can suppress the increase in iron loss and effectively alleviate the heating phenomenon of transformers under DC bias. The 20SQGD070LN product innovates multiple technologies, breaking through the technical bottleneck that the industry has long faced in balancing "low rail loss" and "low noise". While maintaining ultra-low rail loss performance, it achieves a further reduction of 3-4 decibels in noise levels, becoming the world's lowest noise and only mass-produced product among similar soft magnetic materials. It provides core material support for the construction of efficient, energy-saving, and environmentally friendly new power grids.
Ultimate Service - New Application Technologies Drive Industry Development. The conference released the latest Early Intervention (EVI) technology. Shougang Zhixin has collaborated with downstream users to carry out technological innovation throughout the entire industry chain, conducting research on every link from materials, design, processing to service, successfully breaking through the three major technical bottlenecks in transformer core design and injecting new momentum into the high-quality development of the industry.

The problem of additional losses caused by positioning holes has been revealed by Shougang in collaboration with users through thousands of experimental data, verifying the relationship between positioning holes and additional losses, and validating the intelligent production line adaptation of Shougang's 0.18-0.23 mm full range silicon steel. In the field of iron core structural coefficients, Shougang pioneered a simulation model system for iron core aspect ratio, developed a formula for calculating iron core structural coefficients, and solved the problem of adapting "slim and tall" iron cores overseas. In the face of the challenge of "high harmonics" in the new power system, Shougang has established a harmonic condition material database, providing key support for the stable operation of new energy transformers under harmonic conditions. The developed 0.18mm ultra-thin high-end silicon steel achieves a 15% energy efficiency improvement in harmonic environments, helping to improve the safety and energy efficiency level of the new power system.
Green Start New Journey - Low carbon products support the "dual carbon" strategy. The conference released green and low-carbon manufacturing technologies and a series of products. Shougang Group continuously improves the carbon reduction in the product manufacturing process through technological breakthroughs in extreme energy efficiency management, high ball to mass ratio, and large scrap steel ratio; By widely promoting the application of green electricity, the "green content" of Shougang's soft magnetic materials can be further improved.
